Evil Turkey Dodging Bastards (and Katherine Tate) for Christmas!

Happy Holidays, everypeeps. I'm hoping to get a Snowzilla for Christmas. Taking notes, Utah? You've got 24 hours to make my belated Christmas dreams come true. SNOWZILLA! SNOWZILLA! SNOWZILLA!

...and maybe a Camp Rock Barbie. Preferably Mitchie? I'll let you get to work.

The Lonely Island Strikes Again!

Send the kids to bed, or at least be prepared to explain something.

Also, who's letting their kids read this blog? I'm calling child services on you.

Whimsy from the Motherland

Who says Commie war memorials can't have fun?

Artist Kamila Szejnoch installed a swing on an old communist monument in Warsaw, Poland. How cool is that?

Kamila Szejnoch's work is the winner of Szpilman Award 2008 (event that awards works that only exist for a moment or a short period of time, promoting ephemeral situations). Her project consists of installing a tiny swing at the monumental bronze 'Berling Army Soldier' in Warsaw. She suggests a change in the function of the monuments, attempting to build a bridge between the present and the past, adding a contemporary layer distinct from their original style and function.

Imported Snark from Behind the Zion Curtain

Kudos to Amanda Jean for my awesomely hilarious link to Prop 8: The Musical (see last post)! Deja vu, dear readers? Yes, I did in fact say that in the post that included the hilarious video treat, when I bummed it off of Amanda's blog. Recently I bopped over to see what is up on her blog...to find out that I have someone named Anonymous--what an odd name!--to thank for a reminder that I made the right decision to bail myself out of Hate Country, USA. Oops, I mean Mormon central.

Dear old Anonymous writes:

I'd rather take my political advice from the prophet (who speaks for the ACTUAL Jesus Christ)rather than Jack Black.

All I can say is this; I am so proud of Anonymous for using his real name to stand up for what he believes instead of sneaking around snarking up blogs. I'd hate for him to seem embarassed or defensive about what is obviously an informed and Christian opinion. Kudos to you, Anonymous. Kudos to you.
